18 Walker Road is a North-facing residential site with uninterrupted views across Walker Park, in the heart of Pt Chevalier.
With Pt Chevalier being a very desirable suburb which has quickly become unaffordable for most young people to purchase a standalone home in, it was a perfect site to create a boutique townhouse development sold at affordable prices, giving those with a lower budget a way-in to a prime location.
The Walker Green development consists of 2x three-bedroom and 3x two-bedroom architecturally designed homes on fee simple, freehold titles. These homes are designed to maximise natural light and open-plan living, flowing out to generous green space.
Each home came with an off-street carpark, with the addition of an EV charger provision that was pre-wired into the respective house’s switchboard.
Simple clean black lines throughout the cladding, contrasted with raw timber window screening and decking; the architect has chosen an exterior design that harmonizes with the natural surrounding environment, of historic trees and open green space.
Interior designer Nicole Honeycombe pays particular homage to light, with a subtle minimalism reflected throughout each space. Timber flooring compliments the calm architectural colour palette and creates visual harmony, while accentuating the light-filled, open-plan living spaces.
In keeping with the preference for hardwearing and sustainable materials, the kitchen incorporates a suite of Fisher and Paykel appliances. The bespoke joinery was made to the purchaser’s preference, with an emulation of whitened oak or smoked oak cabinetry options.
